Absent friends Page 30

Its all exciting this isn't it.

Griff would be better off with obfuscation. PM a mod and get his name changed to something anonymous like Lollystick or MrCrabApple68.

Just out of curosity, how long does anyone think he's been quietly erasing himself? Not that long back he passed 10,000 posts. On his profile its a tenth of that and mostly on the Ken Dodd thread.

Seriously Griff if you do read this, best of luck with whatever it is and thanks for the help, advice and odd argument.

Exactly.
Deleting posts is my pet peeve and I am PEEVED.
It's really quite selfish to delete 9,000 posts (If that is actually an accurate assessment above. I have no idea how many posts he had and how many he has now.)

I know posts are made by one person, and that person can feel that they are his 'property', so to speak, to do with as one wishes. But they are part of a conversation and exchange with hundreds of other people. And once you've made them and people have replied they're not really just yours anymore.

Deleting one or two you regret is completely understandable, but to this extent, I think it's a bit impolite and unecessary, at the least.

But how has he deleted posts which are the first in a thread?

I don't know whether he has?

We need Griff to comment, then delete it. That'll clear it up.

I don't think it's the end of the world. Perhaps he sees his BCG existence as a mistake. Who knows? I'm fairly sure the boards will survive some threads being a little messy.

Does it really matter?

Check the worst film thread.

Well, it's interesting. Mysterious.

Worst idea for a movie thread was started by Griff, but the first post is by Aaron. Is that possible?

Oh you mean that one, sorry.

There's a few in the writers forums too. I find it all quite fascinating.

Not in the great scheme of things!
But it does a bit when you spend quite a lot of time trying to make this place nice and tidy, and make sense for the users.

*guilt trip*

He's clearly proud of his posts in the Ken Dodd thread though
