I'm a huge Flight of the Conchords fan, so seeing current SNL members pop up there has been pretty cool. Will Forte as the shitty dry cleaner/actor/record executive was a favourite.

Yeah I know that. I just meant has anyone mentioned him being on SNL. He's surely the most successful of all the former cast members isn't he?
He was on in a time period where a lot of the cast found a decent amount of success. Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, etc. all did very well. Mike Myers is on a rollercoaster. One success, one failure...
Not sure what part of the ride he's on now.

I'd say Eddie Murphy might give him a run for his money.
Quote: Tim Walker @ June 19 2009, 12:31 AM BSTYes, but he had to work with Timmy Mallet on a UK children's TV show to learn his comedy trade. Would never have become successful without graduating from WAC.
Hadn't heard that he worked on any children's TV show but I do know that after Myers graduated high school he went to work for Second City Comedy Toronto. I'm sure that was a pretty big impact. Second City is where a huge number of North Americans learn their comedic trade.
If you've never watched SCTV (Second City Television) I advise getting your hands on the seasons it's (in my opinion) one of the best sitcoms ever to be on television.

Bill Murray,Ben Stiller,Chris Rock,Will Ferrell, and Robert Downey Jr. (although Comedy isn't really what made him).
Here he is, appearing in The Wide Awake Club, an old Brit kids show that I used to enjoy!
Curt,
I used to love watching SCTV when I lived in the States. What a class show, I'll have to go to You Tube now to see if there are any clips available.
As Curt said, it's one of the best sitcoms ever to be on television.
What was it about?
Great show.
Martin Short was actually funny on it.

SCTV? It was about a very underfunded television station in Canada and was brilliantly weird and wonderful.

Carpark is right. It was a skit show with a storyline about the station having difficulties staying on. Each skit is a 'tv show'. The show's best known for its characters 'Bob and Doug Mckenzie':
But my favourite was always Count Floyd and his show Monster Chiller Horror Theatre:
Yes, absolutely fantastic!!!!
