I actually once being on a train late at night and a girl of about ten got on crying her eyes out. There were about three other men with me on the train and not one of us approached her or asked what the matter was. Why? For my own part, I didn't want to get accused of having done anything to her. Or get involved in any way.
Filthy paedo convicted Page 2
Infuriating and insane world.
I hope people look at that women paedophile arrested last week and realise that they come in all shapes and sizes.
But everytime the police pick up some one like this Ozzy guy they make them identify themselves as paedophiles. And as that becomes their identity it's more likely other paedophiles will be able to influence and move them onto genuine offending behaviour.
The dirty secret is investigating real paedophiles is an expensive time consuming operation. Picking up low level embarassed guys with shit on their hard drives is easy.
And part the reason we have so many sociopathic socially unskilled lads on the street. Is there are so few men willing to work with them for fear of having a scarlet P painted on them.

Do you still do it now Ellie?
I always thought the argument for prosecuting people who had child pornography was that the demand for these images encouraged the abuse of the children in the photographs. Unless the drawings were life studies I do not see how that applies.
The police can be very silly about this sort of thing though. A mate of mine, who is a keen photographer, was testing out a new lens, taking candid people shots in Trafalgar Square, when he was approached by a man in plains clothes who demanded that he hand over his camera. When my mate declined to do so, he was arrested and frog marched to a police station.
It turned out he had walked into a police honey trap. Apparently Trafalgar Square is well known as a place where pervs go to take upskirt shots of young girls with mobile phones. Since an event was on where a lot of children were expected, the police were staging a sting operation. This was well known in the paedo community, who were staying well away, but the police had spent a lot of money on the op and needed to nab someone - though how they thought my mate was going to take upskirts shot with an SLR is a bit of a puzzle.
The police 'lost' the film, but, under new laws introduced to counter terrorism, once you are under arrest the police do not need a warrant to search your house. His computer and all his photograph albums were seized. Amongst all these thousands photographs the police found two pictures of toddlers in bathing costumes splashing around in the fountains, and one of an underage teenage girl which a judge later described as "immodest bit not indecent".
It took a few of months, but after a couple of aggressive interviews the police charged him with taking an "indecent photograph sometime between 2000 and 2006". His employer was notified, and he was suspended from work for the six months it took for the case to come to trial.
On the day of the trial the case was thrown out when the defence barrister successfully argued that, even if the jury were to find my mate guilty, the judge would not be able to pass sentence, as the photograph did not meet the criteria for the minimum tarrif.
A happy ending, but my mate had been put through hell. So, I would be very careful about what you store on your computer. The police do not need much excuse to wreck your life these days.
We are pandering to the sort of parents who send hatemail to teachers with HIV. These hysterical trouble makers are the problem.
And frankly I am so sick and tired of the police going for easy statistic friendly arrests. Anyone else had their bag sniffed by a dog at a railway station? That's a nice and safe way of taking a student with an eighth of oxo cube off the street.
Real paedophiles and drug dealers are dangerous, clever and elusive.
Quote: EllieJP @ June 16 2009, 1:22 PM BSTThe thing is Paedos have always been there.
Yep. I bet nearly everyone can recall a dodgy incident from their childhood. My mum was approached by one as a child back in the 1940s.

Not me. I was pig ugly even then.

Though how much of that is putting a retrospective interpretation on an incident based on the current paranoia?
Paedos have always been with us, but abuse is much more common in the home and in institutions, rather than from a predatory stranger.
Yea I grew up in the country and we had acres upon acres to play in.
I always wondered about how kids in cities especially today play since parents are so cautious these days besides allowing them to play in their tiny backyards (if they're lucky) and small homes.
I think we need to look at what abuse is.
Thinking of having sex with an imaginary cartoon character under the age of 16 is a crime even George Orwell would have that was silly,
We need to look at it from the point of view of manipualtiveness and abuse of trust. This obsession with innocence nmay also be why convictions for rape of adults is so poor.

Not me, I had to pay for my own sweets back then, not like the spoiled, paedo friendly, pre-teen whores of today. Bastards!!!
Where I used to drink, a really creepy guy would come in for a drink and he had that Paedo look - much in the same way Dennis Norden or John McCrirrick has - and I heard the best insult - 'He looks like the kind of bloke who has inflatable kids'.
(BTW if you have any old copies of Mini Pops on VHS, burn them now, you filthy toddler botherer!)
"Now, why are no paedophiles black...?"
Quote: Tim Walker @ June 16 2009, 2:18 PM BST"Now, why are no paedophiles black...?"
'They don't like it up 'em, them fuz...' Oh never mind.
Well yes there are black paedophiles.
One problem with political correctness is the old
"Atleast we have no paedos they're all white male Christians"
Which prevents communities acknowledging the paedophiles in their midst and often isolating the victims.
Paedophiles come in Jewish, black, Asian infact all varities.
