You're suggesting he becomes a mugger?

Noooo...a mugger from the 1930s.

Agree with previous posts - claim your JSA. Don't have any emotion about it, it's available specifically for people in your situation.

Go to your nearest market town [or Norwich] for a day. Just observe the people and commerce. This should inspire your writing, if nothing else.

If you don't need to earn too much at present, start your own low budget business, e.g. window cleaning, gardening, car washing etc. Volunteering can lead to opportunities too.

BTW, collaboration may freshen up your writing if you feel a bit stale.

You know you've hit rock bottom when Darren's your best hope. ;)

Try doing volunteer work. It's often a nice way to get your foot in the door, if any jobs do come up and is also quite rewarding.
