I was just thinking about how most writers of Hollywood films start out writing for T.V. Can anyone name any successful screenwriters who went straight into films, without first doing T.V.?
Does T.V. always come first?
William Goldman. Though he was originally a novelist and playwright.
Judd Apatow. But he really went from writing stand-up, to films, to TV, then back to films I believe.
Kevin Smith, I believe, went straight into Directing.
"One millllion dollars..."
The kid from Mask made a film? That's impressive for a fictional person with a terminal disease.
Maybe Ed Wood did (Boom boom).
