A film class I took dealt with avant garde directors and Lynch was one. We watched Blue Velvet and the Elephant Man, and decided as a class that we couldn't take anymore. So, we talked our professor into watching Twin Peaks, which he instantly fell in love with. One of the stations over here runs episodes once in a while and it always reminds me of what a brilliant show it was. I have been trying to think of a weak character in it and I'm having a hard time coming up with one. I'll watch a few episodes and report back.
Weak characters in great shows Page 4
Let's change this thread a bit. Great characters in weak shows...
*Entwistle - Last of the Summer Wine
*Elgin - The Green Green Grass
*That bloke in that crappy sitcom on BBC Three, what is it now... oh, well don't matter.
Getting firmly back on topic, Scrappy Doo.

Hey what?!?
I never saw this. How did I miss this? I really need to get those DVDs already.
Rishard E Grant is a god!

And the second season still hasn't been released on DVD in this country yet! Great show, though. Full of incredibly attractive women.
Hee! And men as far as I recall. Well they were when I was 11 anyway.
I've never seen Twin Peaks. Though I have watched the film. Interesting, hey?
Um...

I like Futurama, but it has it's fair share of weak characters. That oriental girl, the accountant bloke and Dr Zoidberg all suck the big one. I realise a lot of people like the pointless, unfunny Zoidberg, but surely you can't defend the other two?

If there's any one thing that's going to come between our writing partnership it's your hatred of Zoidberg, one of my all time favourite sitcom characters. What's not to love about a character so put upon by life that he ends up being subjugated by a parallel dimension version of himself (identical in every sense except for colour)?
Zoidberg is brilliant. My second favourite Character in Futurama
