People need some slapping, they really do.

Didn't I just read that England was a nation of slappers? Why aren't they getting the job done?

We've been thawing and refreezing here, resulting in icicles up to 2' in length on my house. It's one of the few impressively long things I've got.

I'm getting to the point where I love looking at the snow, but am getting peeved I can't walk / drive anywhere.

Hope it clears soon, it's got a bit boring now.

UK weather Cams http://www.btinternet.com/~paul.gilliver/weathercam.htm

Also putting [traffic cams m3] or other motorway number in the Google search box will also give a good list of traffic condition cameras.

Is the whole country covered in snow, or are there little pockets that didn't get any? If it's the whole country, I can't remember the last time that happened.

Judging by this photo I posted the other day, I'd say it was everywhere except for a few very small areas right on the southern coast.

And the day has come... we have finally put the heating on.
:O

I've just found out I have to go back into work tomorrow. Bollocks! Does that sound ungrateful after 3 days off? Correct. But think whilst I'm away I can't damage the nations future generations. Still. Bollocks!

You are awesome Gavin, so I expect no complaining from you. Here in the Big Smoke, they've been showing a reporter from London Tonight stuck in her village.

The commentary she gives over the footage makes it sound like she's living in a post apocalyptic horror movie. 'Just up the road, 93 year old Ethel Racist slipped on the ice and twisted her ankle and the village shop is nearly out of bread. But at least there's no black people to spoil the views from my expensive cottage.'

And my local Sainsburys was packed this afternoon, idiots panic buying all the milk and bread because of a bit of snow. People need some slapping, they really do.

I thought you lived in Hackney. Has civilisation disintegrated even further?

Hackney = Civilisation? News to me :) Especially if Renegade lives there.

Aparently they've started killing, cooking and eating traffic wardens in Hackney.
It's an improvement they've started cooking them at least.

As for your school just leave some platform boots lying around. They'll assume it's infested with Gary Glitters.

I can't wait for the weather to get better just so we can have some variation on the television news. If you haven't watched any news progarmme in the last two weeks here is what you missed -

It's snowing.
There's not enough grit.
Old people can't afford heating.
Hospitals can't cope with people falling over.
The trains have all fallen over.
The planes have all fallen over.
Village folk have resorted to cannibalism.
There is a severe weather warning.
Schools are shut, parents can't cope with raising their own children.
Kids like throwing snowballs.
Why can't Britain cope with bad weather?

All very interesting stories, but not when they are repeated ad infinitum, night after bloomin' night. And don't get me started on the reporters' 'sad voice' that they do at the end of every report -

'With no let up in sight, the brave folk of West Eeepington will be in for another cold and miserable night...' - Like these overpaid correspondent monkeys give a shit about a bunch of inbreds in the middle of f**king nowhere.

Is there a term for the medical condition which causes inhabitants of the northern hemisphere to forget what winter is like every year?

"OMG, worst winter EVER!"
