Snowing but not settling here in north Lundon.

Snowed quite heavy here last night, cleared about 2ins off car- semi-drizzle now so should clear up, pleased as won't go out otherwise!!

Why is a mix of rain and snow called sleet?

It should be Row, or Snain.

Because the Americans call it "wintery mix" which sounds more like a kind of sweet.

Snowed for a couple of hours this evening. May still be be snowing. I should go to bed.

Still white landscapes, but sunny.

Brr its a bit nippy

Now winter is in full display here! Angry

I have actual snowwwww!

I will now stop complaining.

Greetings from the heart of the Red Warning Triangle!
Three inches already and still belting down.
Still managed the treacherous 25 yard journey to the office, though.

Yes, schools closed early here, and Eldest has phoned to ask to be picked up. This is after I told her I might not be able to come to get her if it was snowing, and the buses might not be running, so she really shouldn't wear canvas shoes to school, with no coat. Let's hope she learns her lesson.

Congratulations!

Yeah, I wonder how many thousands of pounds worth of Uggs are going to be ruined today by dopey teenagers not listening to the pleadings of their parents?
(I include my own daughters in this, of course).

Angry

Still snowing quite hard.
