Jim & Joan : The Art Of Robbing

Another Jim & Joan robbery. Feedback greatly appreciated.

JIM & JOAN : THE ART OF ROBBING

A VAN REVERSES, SMASHING THROUGH THE ENTRANCE DOORS OF A BANK. JIM AND JOAN EXIT THE VAN IN ARMY ATTIRE, WIELDING HANDGUNS.

JIM WALKS UP TO A MEMBER OF THE BANKING STAFF, WHILE JOAN OPENS THE BACK DOORS OF THE VAN.

JOAN:
(Happy)
(aiming her gun at the crowd) Morning! Lovely weather.

THE CROWD STARE ON IN BEWILDERMENT. JIM IS WALKING TO THE VAN SLOWLY WITH A BUNDLE OF CASH.

(SLOW MOTION)
A WANNABE HERO RUNS TOWARDS JIM GRABBING THE GUN FROM HIS BELT.

WANNABE HERO:
(POINTING THE GUN AT JOAN) Ha Ha. Drop it!

JIM DROPS THE CASH. THE WANNABE HERO LOOKS CONFUSED. JOAN ROLLS HER EYES. THE WANNABE HERO POINTS THE GUN AT JIM. JIM REACHES FOR HIS OTHER GUN.

WANNABE HERO:
(nervous)
I'll shoot, I'm not afraid to shoot.

JIM STILL REACHES FOR HIS GUN.

THE WANNABE HERO STARTS SHOOTING JIM. WE SEE BLUE PAINT SPOTS SPLATTER JIM AS HE FALLS TO THE FLOOR. THE WANNABE HERO LOOKS CONFUSED. HE LOOKS AT THE GUN - OUT OF PAINT HE TURNS TO FACE JOAN. JOAN SMILES, AS SHE COCKS BACK A SHOT GUN. JOAN STARTS SHOOTING, WE HEAR A LONG SERIES OF SHOTS.

JOAN RUNS OVER TO JIM HOLDING A LARGE BOTTLE OF TURPS AND CLOTH. SHE POURS THE TURPS ONTO THE CLOTH AND PRESSES IT ON HIS CHEST.

JOAN:
Keep the pressure on it.

JOAN LIFTS JIM UP AS THEY HEAD FOR THE VAN.

CUT TO: THE WANNABE HERO STUCK TO THE WALL HAS BEEN PAINTED INTO A PAINTING OF VAN GOGHS SUNFLOWERS.

END.

I liked the joke with the turps, It's a bit confusing at the start though. Good visual at the end as well, just needs a bit of re-working.

The main idea of the paint filled guns is great and again I like how these 2 characters work.
But, I think the whole stnadoff with a have ago hero seems to slow it down and make it a little confusing. I'd go with them just shooting the bank up.

The 'have-a-go-hero' sets up for the paint punch though in that he fire's a paintgun?

I'm not sure how it would confuse it?

If it were to be filmed I think it would flow quite nicely, no?

I always feel the less you explain the better, a world where artist shoot paint at each other I think people will get. I'm just not sure you need the explanation on how the other guy got the pain filled gun.
