Baz & Paul

EXT. STREET

Two construction workers, Baz and Paul, sit high up on the girders of a building.

PAUL
Baz. Why are we here?

BAZ
We have the best view.

PAUL
No, I mean why are we here, why do we exist?

BAZ
To eat and shit?

PAUL
That can't be all there is to life, can it?

BAZ
It's best not to think about it, mate.

PAUL
How do you do that?

BAZ
Have a wank. [beat] In private.

PAUL
What about after the wank, what then?

BAZ
If you're up to it, have another.

PAUL
Is that your only solution?

BAZ
It works for me.

PAUL
Eating, shitting and wanking. Is that all I have to look forward to in life?

BAZ
You're forgetting something, Paul.

PAUL
What's that?

BAZ
Our in depth conversations.

PAUL
Oh yeah...

Paul jumps off the girder and falls to the street below.

BAZ
You alright Paul? You appear to have slipped... [beat] Paul?

END

Laughing out loud

Good stuff Leevil.
what does [beat] mean?

Cheers Curt.

It means pause :)

Laughing out loud I actually thought it might mean the guy was pretending to wank.

Nice flowing dialogue Lee. I'd scrap the end line and finish on

BAZ

Paul jumps off the girder and falls to the street below.

I approve of this thread especially the punch.

I liked this one.
Simple, Funny & with a nice pay off.

Cheers guys :D

LOL @ LIFE being summed up by "To eat and shit." Never a truer word typed. :)

Thanks.

To be honest, this sketch originally started out as two pigeons sitting on a telephone wire, that's where the line "eat & shit" came from.
