Podcasting?

We've had a rehearsal and we've got all in place to record a 30 minute radio sketch show over this coming month. But what to do with it?

We'll send CDs to production companies, but is it worth podcasting too? If so, shall I host it on my site or elsewhere?

Ta muchly, you lovely people.

I reckon so. It'll do no good stored on a hard drive.

Maybe break it into five 6-minute episodes and podcast it as series 1? Then you can do five lots of promoting on forums etc. to try and build up a following. Good luck.

That sounds sensible.

Ta for the advice chief

can't you just upload it straight onto iTunes?

I'd never even considered that - have you had much experience yourself? Is it fairly straight forward?

Also, if we put our stuff up on net, will that make those particular sketches a turn-off to would be production companies as they've already been heard?

No, I'd say it won't turn off prod cos because the likelihood of your stuff being heard by their audience is very small. I've had stuff commissioned because of material on the internet so just go for it.

Cheers Lee - will do.
