I thought I'd try something new. I hope you likes.

Big thanks to Mr Bussell for the voices, and Mr Stott for recording a character which sadly couldn't be used for technical reasons.

Good stuff Shoepie, nice to see you (to see you nice) experimenting with different styles.
Very good mate top stuff!
Cheers guys.

I'm now working on a stop motion with plasticine characters. Then I'm doing a completely 3D CG one. After that the only thing left is the medium of interpretive dance.

Not enough hands?
Great stuff, told you puppets are the future
Look forward to seeing the other stuff and possibly something tractor based...
Thanks.

That should be the stop motion project against a green screen background so I can composite in the cab and road. Farmer A is built and looking good but I've run out of plasticine so he hasn't got a nose!
Very good - looks quality.
Quality as always!
Now write something clean and you can get on CBeebies!
Great quality ShoePie! I like these conglomeration of talents
Good job, Kerry. Great seeing you try new things. How about marionettes next? Or failing that, the Ronettes?
It looks and sounds good but I didn't find it as funny as your earlier cartoons. It seemed a bit stretched for the idea. Sorry, Mr Pie.
I agree with the post on YouTube about the big bear swearing. The BooBoo line is excellent.

No worries, it's feedback like that I wish I'd had before the final edit. (I didn't post the script on BSG b.t.w.)
For once I was 100% happy with the way it looked and sounded. That Bussell chap will go far! And puppets are always cool.
In my comedy post mortem I'd probably say I became too attached to a couple of jokes when I really should have cut them. Big Bear swearing was out of character and Little Ted singing 3 times was too much. The surprise had gone by that point. Also, what was the Orgy joke about?!! In fact if David hadn't added a few nice little touches in recording it would been even more stretched!
I don't think I've ever posted a video thinking this is the best it can be. But you can't always edit your way out of trouble (especially if you don't know you're in trouble!). Add to that the fact that there's always something new and exciting to start work on and at some point you just have to say 'this is finished'.
I like this sketch, I think it's one of my better ones but it's still not 'next level'. Weebl and Bob, Homestar Runner or JibJab. Which is where I'd love to be someday. What I do know is that it's definiely better than the stuff I was making two years ago! So 2011 could be my year!
Anyway thanks for the feedback all!
Quality production, the tone and feel is excellent (nice lurid colours, and a hint of cartoon effect) and I suspect going this route will pump up your output as they're probably much faster than animation.
Echo Big Ted shouldn't have sworn. It's much better the little un being the arsey one.
Can I ask what spec the file you uploaded to YT was? All ours pixellate like crazy but yours was superb.
Thanks SlagA.
I may do some more puppet ones, it was quicker once the workflow was worked out and with green screening you can literally do anything with them.
I was quite surprised myself by YT's quality, usually I upload as mpegs and my videos come out quite muddy looking with their compression.
This time I uploaded as a MOV file, Widescreen PAL resolution and the file size was about 80Mb. For compression I used either H.264 (which is the algo. YT use) or I used Sorensen. I can't remember which one (I'll update this when I get home), I also have Quicktime Pro, but I'm not sure what that actually does?!
It could just come down to the fact that the video is quite short too with lots of blocks of the same colour so easier to compress.
