It could have been worse.
I met UK tourists in Spain who never saw the beach 100 yards away. They literally never left the bar (Kids included). There's a very stagnant bit of the UK gene pool.

Hey! Speaking as a Londoner too I know some of us sound rough at times but this sounded more Devon-like to me. As in "Oiiive got a brand new combine harvester." etc
I have to say growing up in a tourist town in the UK we had many Canadians making our lives miserable.
With their excessive politeness, ceaseless demands for maple syrup and insistence on making short government funded animated films. We had to ban them in the end and shoot a couple.
Curt congrats, you have a lovely wife there!
You'll have to have less time on the net now though!
