Personally (this is English for 'I am right'), I lurved the second film. It read like suicide - lose the 'supporting' roles and take the guys outa the pressure cooker environment and all over the Outback - but it works surprisingly well. For Inbetweeners cock ups, there's the reunion and the US take, but I wrote about them elsewhere on these forums.
Can anyone help me remember any Inbetweeners lines? Thanks. You're my fwend.
The Inbetweeners - Series 3 Page 31
The second film has some good moments but they are all in the first part so the rest of it is hard going. One of my favourite lines from the TV series:
"Don't blame me, drug dealers are unreliable"
So true.
So you didn't like the urine in the face scene? What's wrong with you?
It's the lead up to it and how they go from breaking down to life or death that makes it a bit meh. It ventures in to the unlikely or implausible which isn't like the TV series. Being on location and not as up close to the actors worked better in the first film but it feels more of a hinderance in the second.
Yeah, it gets a bit ridiculous, and not in the right way. Still, there's always the urine in the face scene.
And Wobabobbob
And the urine in the face.
There's isn't enough of Neil in the 2nd film and he's funny because he's the most normal of the four. I dread to think how decimated the episodes would be if they were streamed now. I was watching Friends recently and they cut out the line about Bert and Ernie so there wouldn't be much of The Inbetweeners left. I'll be keeping my DVD collection safe and never watching sitcoms on TV anymore. Cutting out the Bert and Ernie line was the back of the camel's straw.
In the words of Sylvia Plath, f**k this. https://metro.co.uk/2024/08/29/inbetweeners-star-reveals-comeback-talks-full-cast-first-time-21509016/

The thing is, I don't actually believe the characters would still be friends as adults. They had absolutely nothing in common, Will would have pissed off to some high flyer job as soon as possible. A school reunion could work, bit given how we know how absolutely awful their school years were why would they go to it? The Las Vegas idea mentioned sounds a bit desperate.
We'll see. There's no point getting excited about this kinda 'news' cos even if it happens, it'll take ages and there'll be an official announcement in advance.
The tabloids have misquoted this for clicks. It's a non-story that we dismissed over the weekend.
That's probably a blessing in disguise.
Can anyone remember any Inbetweeners quotes?... Asking for a fwend. Thanks Phil.
