Troll Concerns; please read.

If you believe an user account is being used for trolling purposes, or you suspect multiple identities, please do not raise that suspicion inside the thread. Doing so is counter-productive. It alerts and feeds genuine trolls; it puts off other regulars; and casts suspicion on potentially innocent newbies. Trolls love controversy, argument, and mounting page counts. Posting in the thread ensures that even if we do root them out, they'll want to keep coming back for more.

We've been remarkably free of trolls in the past. Trolls have often been quickly identified, proven, then banned. As the forum and membership has grown, spotting warning signs and getting in fast has become harder. So we often rely on members alerting us. You can do this by either reporting the thread (use the 'Report' button) or by PMing a moderator with your reasons / evidence. Do not rise to troll bait or get goaded into breaking forum rules.

We want to thank everyone who has PMed troll concerns, past and present. Time and effort is expended in making sure we get genuine trolls.

BUT writers, bear in mind, just because someone posts a bizarre piece in Crit, it doesn't mean troll. You could be reading a fledgling Vic Reeves or Boosh writer. Unlikely but you never know. Different comedy, unfunny comedy, strange style, doesn't necessarily mean wind-up. For starters, it could be genuine psychosis. So I can't understand how they would'nt fit in well here.
;) :D
To recap, please report concerns directly to the mods. We will take action where proven.
