How Old Is Your House? Sketch

First of a series fo quickies -

Presenter:
Hello, and welcome to How Old Is Your House, the show that asks how old your house is and then tells stuents and housebounds just how old it in fact is.

Cut to newish looking house. Presenter is standing with Mr Dunsmuir in doorway.

Presenter:
Mr Dunsmuir, how old is your house?

Mr Dunsmuir:
About ten years. Why?.

Presenter:
Well, that's all we have this time on How Old is Your House, join us next time for How Big is Your House!

:D

Nice quickie.

I'll wrtie this quickly, I liked it.

Very nice keep it on ice for 7 on 7. I liked the way you got the joke out with out any padding.

One small thought the first line could be better greeting students and housebounds as oposed to explaining that is what it's doing.

People will get it.

Thanks guys.

Reminds me a little of the This week I have been mostly eating sketches on the fast show. Can see it getting a laugh throughout a series.

Again thanks all - Any thoughts on the second?

Good idea but too quick for me. When he asks the question'How old is your house?' The Mr Dunsmuir says

'It was built...'

on screen: Two hours later

Mr Dunsmuir: And finally completed in 2008.

And I would have an old woman saying it. But then I do live in my own little world.

Hi Balf

I really liked the silliness of the first one - I thought you'd follow it up with more quickies like how tall are you - 6ft 2 - that's all we have time for etc. As Big Fella said quite Fast Show esque.

I'm not sure the second sketch goes with this one in that sense.

It could work but I wonder if you need a different ending - rather than move the house you could introduce a herd of elephants into his garden or have a plane land on the roof etc?

Jx
