Hindsight

~~HINDSIGHT~~

BILLY HAS STAYED BEHIND AFTER CLASS TO CLARIFY SOME POINTS OF THE LESSON HE IS NOT SURE ABOUT.

BILLY:

Sir.

SIR:

Yes Billy.

BILLY:

Today when you were talking about hindsight, I didn't really get it. What is it?

SIR:

I'm glad you stay behind and ask these questions Billy. I don't want you to fall behind. You're very special to me. Now hindsight can be tricky to get your head around. It's basically when someone looks back at history and can easily see that wrong decisions were made and opportunities were missed. But that person can see the full picture and what happened after the events in question. You see Billy, that person has hindsight. For example when I was your age I didn't get intimate with other young people for I thought I had all the time in the world. But now with hindsight I wish I had got intimate more often as I'm now an old man and people my age are not as attractive. Do you understand now Billy?

BILLY:

I think so Sir.

SIR:

Do you have any other questions?

BILLY:

Just one. When I stay behind to ask questions, why do I have to sit on your knee?

A good little radio sketch that. Nice one.
