oh dear.
Oh shit.
Oh mittens.
Oh the humanity!
Eau de toilette.
It was hardly Citizen Cane, so who gives a shit? Not I.
*wonders whether any pedantic old movie buffs will correct Cane to Kane?*
And yes, Drop Dead Fred was rather disappointing - even though it had Rik Mayall, Phoebe Cates (super-hot in Fast Times at Ridgemont High) and Carrie Fisher.
When I saw it at the cinema with a couple of school-friends, we were foolishly expecting The Young Ones meets Phoebe Cates doing nude scenes meets Carrie Fisher being kick-ass. To save the day from being a total disaster we managed to get into a dull pub, drank beers and smoked cigarettes.

Imaginging Paul Whitehouse doing this.
I quite liked Drop Dead Fred.
I'm not saying it was my favourite film, but it was alright. Not convince it needs remaking though.
Actually, I've change my mind. I think a remake might work well - the original was a better concept than movie.
