Shelley Page 2

I'm using Amazon Prime, where whatever u order u get the next day(unless you're orering from the states), the price to get it for a year is steep though.I will try and get it disabled by the end of the year

Yikes. Is there no way to opt out? And if not, just think that they may dispatch it as soon as it's in stock rather than on the actual date of release?

There is a way to opt out, I just went for a trial didnt read the small print that said if you don't log out before end of the trial period you will be given a full year's membership

would love to see some of the earlier ones again as I was a bit to young to appreciate them fully at the time.

Same here. Just ordered series 1. Hope I won't be too disappointed.

Don't think you will be!

In the 80s, I had a boyfriend who used the Shelley character as a role model. He wanted somehow to spend his life as a kind of eternal loafer or sponger. He tried to do this by taking a doctorate (highly intelligent, like Shelley) but realised that involved some effort and gave up. I remember quite liking the idea of Shelley as a sitcom character, but being involved with a wannabe was not a lot of fun. Thus my memories of the show have become tainted by reality. I would like to see it again. Hywel Bennett had impressive eye bags even when young. As did I.

Must check this out. Watched a few episodes on UK Gold in the 90s and was rather charmed by it.

All 6 series are on YouTube now - single files and 480p. I'd buy the DVDs, but that would be being against Shelley's ideals.
