Claims

2 UNEMPLOYEDS ARE STANDING IN A ROW.

1
Cor the sheer humiliation of having to stand in line for your money to live.

2
It's not so bad getting money for nothing and no one checks up if you're actually working.

1
Yeh but unemployed people only have to sign once a fortnight we have to sign everyday.

2
Sucks to be an MP doesn't it?

Really like this one. Short and clever.

Not keen on this. Bit obvious and not very funny.

I thought it was very funny and there is nothing in the build up to suggest it's obvious?

Obvious or not, it was funny.

I liked it but are they MP's or unemployeds ? (or both)
I was a little bit confused.

Confusing calling them "unemployeds" in the stage direction. Just "two men" would be fine.

Once you indicate in the penultimate line that you are throwing curve you need to get to the punch as quick as possible to get there before the audience, so every word counts; you could tighten the line to: "Yeh but the unemployed only sign once a fortnight, we have to sign everyday."

Okay gag though.
