What would you do?

If a producer showed interest in an idea you pitched in a slightly jokey way, in a semi-formal setting what would you do - bearing in mind you've only written a really rough first draft of your idea?

Would you pester them with a treatment and synopisis, first 10 pages? Wait till the script's all polished (about a year)? Or just leave it?

I would at least send a sypnosis and a treatment. What's the worse that can happen? :D

Why even ask thios question. Just go for it. What's the worst that can happen. Go go go!

I'd follow-up asking if they were interested in a synopsis and a treatment, then send one on if they confirmed they still were.

Dan

Indeed; give them a taste. There's nothing to fear but the end of the world.

It's not a sitcom!

I'm not sure of the producer was joking about liking it seriously and I didn't get a chance to talk to them later, but I will aske them if they want to see more about the project.

What's it all about? Something to do with the world of fashion and glamour? Or something completely different?

Sounds very Coronation Street to me. :O
DD, agree with your now chosen approach.

Sometimes they are two faced because you're face to face but I would send the idea etc and mention that you spoke to them at 'such a do' whichever/wherever that was
