How long should you wait to reoffer sketches

How long should you wait to get an answer from a show if they are going to use your sketch particularly current news sketches?

Have finished a sketch about the Obama's dog which I think isn't bad and sent it to Treason, thought if they don't want it will try Watsons, if they can't use it then try another desperately hoping somebody wants it. Only problem is time, by the end of next week its really old news and nobody will want to even read it. Can't send it to more than one show at the same time just in case a miracle happens and they all think it's good.

Most people send to News and Treason at the same time.

I think with the radio in a week you'll know if you're in or out.

Wouldn't it just be easier if there were a web site where writers post all their current news related sketches for producers or whatever to browse for the sketch they need by category, then buy it there and then? Something where the posts are deleted after 5 days or so because they are either no good or no longer current.

Or is there such a wonderful place already?

The problem with producers perusing then buying? Do you see the flaw?
