Stephen Merchant. Lovey

I haven't met many comedians, the two who spring to mind, because I like them so much; Ade Edmondson in a pub and Gavin Richards on a crossing.

Other people; Johnny Cash, Rod Stewart, Suzi Quatro, ELO, Lou Reed, Peter Jackson, David Soul, John Astin.

I am always surprised at how some people are shorter in reality than they appear on screen, (apart from Johnny Cash). We went to see Robbie Williams in concert, he was diminutive, and had stunning eyes. :)

You met Leather Tuscadaro?!? Jealous!!!!

Stephen Mangan was shorter than me, I found that surprising, but I'm not sure why.

Doesn't that depend on your height Tim?

If you're 6'7" it's not surprising . if you're 3'6" it's amazing and nailed on for panto in a couple of months !

:D

Good point. I'm 5"9'. I just always thought he looked fairly tall. Very nice man though. :)

I had to think for a minute before I realized who you meant. I had forgotten about her appearance in Happy Days.

SQ (and most of the others mentioned) was staying at the hotel I worked in. Bette Davis stayed there too, unfortunately, she was quite reclusive and I only managed to see her as she disappeared into her suite. Disappointed, I was!

Tell me about meeting, JFK Jr. How did it happen? :)

Jeremy Dyson :O

*envious*

What's sad is that some of them are obviously so young that they think a request to present your writing in traditional syntax is somehow shockingly controversial. :(

Strange how some of them are years old!

TTFN ?

Got to be 70 years old at least but the Bright Young Things probably think they thought of it !

;)

Jeremy Dyson

I hope no-one sucked up to him ! (cue RC)

I met Stephen Merchant (seen him live a couple of times). Surpisingly he was smaller than me because I was on the top of the stairs and he was at the bottom.

I've never seen him in the flesh, I presume he does rather stand out in a crowd though.

Another seemingly nice man, and also shorter than me. :) Met him at C4 when he was pitching a show (which I think he got commissioned :)).

It was at gig in a basement and he cracked his head on a beam as he ran on to the stage, already hunched over due to the low ceiling. It actually floored him and he was down for a while, whilst everyone didn't know if it was a gag or not. Turns out it wasn't.

Laughing out loud (I mean, terrible thing to have happened. :()

Ouch!

Dolly, is he good, live?
I love him in Extras, and the dancing to the ring tones. Never fails to make me laugh.

Yes, seen him two or three times now doing twenties in a small club that holds about 40 people, for only £6. He did pretty much a new set every time. brilliant material and delivery and just a genuinely funny person.

He handled the head accident really well, dragging himself across the floor to the mic.

Wonderful. I'd love to see him live. Maybe, one day... :)
