Russel Brand - Timeout Magazine

Hiya Everyone,

Was reading interview with Russel Brand in last weeks timeout magazine, I do like Russell, I think he is an excellent comedian and is portrayed very wrong in the media...!!!

Does anyone agree or do have another view??? Do you agree that as a stand up he is excellent??

Darren, I am not a fan. It occurs to me that he has succeeded more by virtue of the rather more superficial aspects of his being and not particularly because of his comic ability.

I think he's a talented stand up, though his TV work has been mainly very poor.

Ponderland could be quite good.

Ponderland was ok but I found most of the comedy very obvious, its easy to make fun of TV 30 years ago, everyone was a little backward then

I thought Ponderland was excellent.

But he can be a bit lazy at times with his material.

I like him.
His stand up is good, Ponderland was funny
& I used to enjoy his radio show.

He's okay in very small doses. Trouble is, we seem to have had him fed to us in increasingly large doses just lately.

I like him on game shows... he amuses me.

That's no much of a compliment. I'm sure if you had Fred West, Adolf Hitler and Joe Stalin on a gameshow they could be quite amusing... I take your point, though. :)

I like him. He's really funny on talk shows. He was hilarious in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." I never really bothered to watch "Ponderland" though.

One trick pony motormouth.. then picked up by the press as being 'outrageous' and therefore fascinating. Overblown beyond his talents.

He's brilliant.
I actually find his radio show quite boring for some reason, but I love everything else he's done.
