Current rumour doing the rounds on the renewal front is that Parks, 30 Rock and Community are going to be picked up for new seasons but only of 12 - 16 episodes each. These could theoretically be extended to replace whichever of the new comedies bomb.
Parks and Recreation Page 5
It's an announcement, not a rumor. It'll be a shame since NBC has been sliding into 5th place in the raitings... soon the critical/cult audience will no longer have a reason to watch NBC... just like everyone else.
What's interesting to me is sitcoms keep faltering in TV ratings, but the new big players in TV production (Netflix and Amazon) are starting out with/only developing sitcoms.
Series 5 will be 22 episodes.

This news is a little bit outdated, but apparently last month BBC4 were in talks with NBC about airing the show. Not really the channel I'd expect it to appear on, but as long as it leads to this great show finally airing in the UK!

Any news on whether BBC4 bought this? New season's started well, enjoyed all the Ben/April stuff.
Currently working my way through the DVD of season 4 of this amazing show. So many great characters, and always heartwarming in a way that doesn't make you want to puke.
Did this ever make it's way to TV in England? Did BBC 4 ever make anything of it?
If anything, I highly recommend you guys check this out on DVD or something when the new series ends.
They haven't aired a new episode in a while, but a new one will air today and I'm really looking forward to it.
The highlight for me is the Andy and April and stuff. Andy is such a hilarious clueless character. His act never gets old.
Leslie is sick and Andy sits at April's computer in the office:
"Leslie, I typed your symptoms into the thing up here and it says you may have network connectivity problems."
Just atarted watching this on Netflix
Along with Community.

Both shows improve vastly after iffy starts.
Excellent
They seem pretty good to start with anyway
I need to watch Chevy Chase & JoelMchales presentation/show montage thing in front of the class in episode 2 or 3 again

Did you know that was actually an improvised line? They talk about it at around 2:20ish.
The latest episode after the break was an absolute blinder. Bravo.

You mean the one from last night? I thought it was brilliant.
Also I had no idea the "network connectivity problems" bit was an improvised line which makes it the more clever and better.
I could watch a Burt Macklin spin off, no problem.
Pratt seems to make everyone laugh constantly during the show. Even the outtakes are funny.
