So? He could've walked out of the building long before the doors were locked.

Yeaahhh ... I'm really not sure you 'get' that whole sequence of events, the setup to it, what was actually going on in the room, or what (I believe) we're meant to be thinking about their state of minds and what's going on. There is no reason for him to leave, and with no car keys, and presumably the hospital pretty much in the middle of nowhere, and the place being pretty freaking spooky even in a room with a group of other people, he's not going to head anywhere else.

Nicola phoned him in the penultimate episode right before Joy kidnapped her. And, since he saw the video of her performing at Ravenhill, it's safe to say he would know where to look.

Ok, so we've established that he knows his wife was in some kind of psychiactric hospital. We've also established that he is probably still alive and walking freely. Therefore it's fair to assume that he may know her body has disappeared, and so she must still be alive. But how does he know that she kidnapped Nicola, and why would Ravenhill be the place he goes to? They were sent a video, sure, but that was from someone else, not from her. What's the link? There isn't a direct one here.

it was pretty obvious it was going to be Jolly

There was reasonable suspicion, but "pretty obvious"? Not at all. In any case, the mystery was perhaps more of WHY they were all being targetted, not just who by.

And that she was actually going to end up not being dead.

Not in the flipping slightest. You're living in your bizzaro world again, Stott!

What was the point of the blood-transfusion lady? She contributed very little to the story.

She was a great device to tell more of Joy's story, get to know the background of Joy's character, and thus to get her to the hospital. Although the fact that they were there seemed to be pretty coincidental, not due to Jolly's luring.

I would say it was very obvious after Jolly was apparently killed, but we didn't actually see his face, that it was going to end up being him. At least it seemed obvious to me.

Well, to be honest that only came to me about half way through that final episode, so not that obvious I suppose.

Fantastic series overall. :)

Thinking about it now, why did Jolly tell Jelly the letters were really meant for himself when he showed them to him?

To bring himself into the story more and into constant contact with Jelly I suppose as it appeared the two would now be tied up in whatever was going on and so would band together a little.

Yeah and maybe because Jelly accused him of sending them, he could throw suspicion off himself that way.

Didn't Jelly have a line that went something like:
A lot of this doesn't add up, I'll have to think back a bit.

I thought that was quite funny.

Yes, something like that. Very good I thought, bit of a get out clause.

Loved it. I liked that they were quite aware of what they were doing and taking the piss out of the genres conventions.

I loved the old lady, she was great, and the 'weakest link goodbye' line made me laugh along with many others.
The Citizens Advice bit was very funny, and the 'ummmmm Tuna melt!' part again made me laugh.

Nurse Kenchington is my new fashion inspiration, she rocked that post-grave look!

I really hope there is a second series, there is a heck of a lot gone unanswered.....

Congratulations to everyone involved, and make a second series or I'll start posting threatening VHS videos...

Too many unanswered questions, and not deliberate ones either. I really was underwhelmed overall by the series.

Last night's episode was good, with some very good gags and stuff. Eileen Atkins was fantastic - absolutely venomous which was just the shot in the arm that it needed to get away from the cartoon grotesques.

But if Jolly hadn't been decapitated, then who was it lying on the floor of Jelly's house in Jolly's clothes? A dummy? How can a watermelon stop a bullet? Why didn't Tealeaf go? Why, when the two dwarves ran out of petrol, did they get out of the car and walk back in the direction they'd just come?

Too many holes in each episode. I don't buy the "ah they're meant to be there to keep you guessing" thing - they were holes. Other sitcoms manage without holes (the League of Gents did).

Jolly's body was a dummy. The watermelon stopped a bullet from an old pistol. Tealeaf tried to leave but his car keys were gone. Kerry was leading Robert somewhere and he is a bit thick.

Personally I did wonder why everyone left their keys in their vehicles.

I think it was a deliberate dig at the way that always seems to happen on TV or on film, but very rarely in real life. That's why they over-referenced the fact.

As Dolly has pointed out, some of those 'holes' really weren't holes if you actually watched what was going on! :D

Why didn't Tealeaf go?

I mean, this one for instance was very clearly dealt with.

Yes, you can assume it was a dummy. Perhaps a training dummy from a hospital, seeing as how he Jolly was a Doctor. That isn't a plot hole!

Did you watch the episode at all? Errr

I'm obviously still fuming from when my sister's partner did that in a rough area and the car was nicked within 5 minutes!

Well you have to be very careful where you go dogging, you know.

That is the only thing that struck me as weird about it. Everything else was totally explained, or otherwise in character, I thought. Really can't agree with any of the bitching going on now - and I'm normally the first one to criticise shows like this. Stott having problems with it and me liking; what the hell is happening in the world?

On another note entirely, should it not be Tea Leaf?
