That's alright lovely! I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago and it was shipped out a couple of days ago - hoping that it'll arrive tmorrow morning.

:)

Just in time for a weekend of happy viewing.
Have fun. :)

a lot of it seemed disjointed and a little lazy killing most of them all off

You mean like how they killed off Nurse Kenchington...?

I have to say, normally I'm the first person to feel short-changed, annoyed, and generally pretty uncomfortably with open endings. But I didn't feel like that with this at all. It was ace. Tied everything up perfectly, whilst leaving a bit of ambiguity should another series be commissioned. And I hope one is. :)

No, because that was the whole basis for the messages. Yes, I suppose you could argue it was fitting to have everyone endure the same fate (well, maybe not the innocents), but...something about it just bugged me. The scene with David explaining his murders was funny, as was Jelly in the toilet, but they could've come in episode 6 really. It all crammed too much in and the pacing seemed off to me.

Not sure it tied up everything perfectly. No idea if Maureen survived (missed her a lot), what happens to the dwarves and Brian, why Tealeaf didn't just leave the house instead of staying after Snappy was thrown away, and where George was (wouldn't you care a bit if your deranged wife was troubling your affair girl?). And no happy ending for any of them really. Obviously you wouldn't expect it, but poor Jelly was dragged into it for no real reason (Jolly didn't need to take it out on him) and suffered a horrible fate.

I would say that tonight's episode a) showed that the writers have bet on there being a second series, and b) that it thoroughly deserves a second series. :)

Not so much the same fate as that you're assuming they - just as we were meant to have assumed that she - died. We don't actually see the corpses. It's just implied.

Because all of the car keys were stolen.

How does he know? Does he know at all? And if he does, perhaps she bound and gagged him in the house?

Given the state of mind of Jolly, his explanation of why Jelly was there was a perfect reason.

Easy. :)

Didn't Dawn french's character give George a heart attack?

I bloody hope it's implied, otherwise it's a terrible waste of characters. If they do get a second series, I'd to see them explored a bit more, ala Heroes.

So? He could've walked out of the building long before the doors were locked.

Nicola phoned him in the penultimate episode right before Joy kidnapped her. And, since he saw the video of her performing at Ravenhill, it's safe to say he would know where to look.

I'll give you that one.

Other way around: when George and Nicola were making Freddie come to "life", Joy thought he had killed George and appeared to have a heart attack. But didn't.

Nothing resolved with Debbie or Brian or the elves?

Elves? I must have missed that episode.

I'll assume you mean dwarves. ;)

I did, I did. Shame on me.

Hello! First post and all that...

Really, really loved this series. The ending was utterly bizarre and totally brilliant. Loved Jelly more than usual tonight (the old lady was brilliant) but I did miss poor Maureen.

Was re-watching it, and the door went up when Kenchington came into the room and I didn't see it go down again - possible escape route?

What's the crack with the locket then? Why is it so important? If I had a beard I would be stroking it.

If I were a cynic, which I am, I would say that all these theories and questions are subtle (or not so subtle) unanswered plot holes and plot devices, which will help Reece and Steve to put additional pressure on the Beeb to re-commission. Good on them, I say. :)

It wouldn't surprise me to be honest. It sounds like they had a bit of trouble getting it commissioned in the first place.

Great finale... Surprisingly this episode was the only one which really had me laughing, which is surprising because usually an episode like this with so much plot to explain sacrifices the jokes.

Loved David's confession at the police station, and Lomax's "ahh David was always the weakest link goodbye".

But are we supposed to believe a watermelon stopped a bullet?

I definitely don't think they are all dead, unless their plan is just to introduce all kinds of new characters in season 2 which wouldn't be surprising considering the guys who make this show.

Loved Jelly and the old woman in the toilet.

Overall, loved the series, but was left a little underwhelmed by the actual revelations. I mean, it was pretty obvious it was going to be Jolly, and that they had killed that woman. And that she was actually going to end up not being dead. So I was hoping on smething a little more unexpected. I was also hoping that when David was digging up the grave, it turned out she was dead and then he took the corpse home and we would have a Psycho riff for series two! :)

But anyway, overall a good if faintly underwhelming last episode, with lots of great funny moments. Can't wait for series two, and Mr Jolly and David are truly great comic creations.

I like it.

What was the point of the blood-transfusion lady? She contributed very little to the story.
