Psychoville - Series 1 Page 13

A joke similar to that came up in an American TV series a while back, but I can't think of what it was. I do remember that the show was awful and that about 5 people watched it. This was way funnier.

Flight Of The Conchords.

I liked this too. It made me laugh lots.

That is all.

I'll look for it. Thanks.

:O Wow, I do think the second series is nowhere as good as the first, but its still a great show. It's really popular over here and its on a pay cable station.

Don't have a go at me Andrea, have a go at Aaron up there!

It is rather popular here too. Aaron just hates the musical interludes so much it clouds his opinion of the rest of the show. The silly sausage.

Life Is Sweet also boasts a great cast. Other than Tim Spall, there's Jim Broadbent, Alison Steadman, Jane Horrocks, Claire Skinner, Stephen Rea and David Thewlis. (Don't know if it's still on the DVD release thesedays, but mine also included a very funny Mike Leigh short for C4, entitled The Short & Curlies, also with Alison Steadman and a very funny David Thewlis as a joke-cracking nerd.)

Sorry, I goofed on my quoting, humblest apologies. :(

There's that brilliant bit in that when he's buying extra large condoms from his female chemist friend:

"You're wondering, aren't you?"
"No, nothing to do with me"
"Isn't it? Well, we'll see about that"

Laughing out loud

Loved it!!!!! I was quite worried as I love TLOG and wondered if Psychoville would fall flat but I worried for nothing as from start to finish it was pure comedy heaven... just my ticket! I have to say I was very impressed with Dawn French.. she was great and one of the funniest parts of it.. I can't wait for episode 2.. Loved the bit at the very beggining in the post office when the old lady says "he forgot his candle" LOL :D :D :D

The candle bit? Nah, I saw that coming. Rolling eyes

I didn't! Was quite good. Which reminds me that the design of the series is fantastic. I hear that Reece & Steve have had a lot of input on design of things like the DVD release so I assume similarly of the show proper, but Brian Sykes has to win an award for this series.

Shearsmith & Pemberton writing a comedy-horror-thriller called Psychoville featuring Dawn French as one of the characters? And the opening scene being set in a post office?

I think history will show I predicted this way back in the summer of 1998.

Pretty f**ked up. I liked it. :D
