Sending sketches

Is there anywhere people send sketches to other than treason and news revue.

Is it worth sending them to prod co's or anything?

It's worth a go, Tom, but only if you're sending them for a particular show. If you have some sketches that would suit Armstrong and Miller, then find out who the producer of that show is and then send them to him with a flattering letter.

Sending off sketches that have no particular unity isn't a good idea. It's more than likely they won't fit any shows in development. The head of a major prod co recently told me that standalone sketches waiting to be turned into half hour shows are the last things a commissioning editor wants to see.

It's not easy to get into either. Most shows have a pool of trusted writers.
