Armando Iannucci Q&A in London Page 2

Yes, this was excellent. Such a shame that Bernard held me up, he made me a couple of minutes late so I was right at the back and couldn't hear all that well. WHAT WERE THE MICROPHONES FOR?!!

thefridaylink, were you one of the 4 or 5 people that spoke to Armando in the bar?

No... but spoke to him in the stairwell on the way to the bar - he came out of some fire escape and was right in front of us ... so it seemed rude not to. Very affable.

Indeed.

Especially if everybody ignores the rest of his career and just asks him about Lab Rats.

Ha ha! I hope someone does ask him about it - as there is probably a lot to be learnt from that project.

Those of you going: please do report back!

It was last night Mark. There's some reports above. I missed it due transport problems. :(

I did hear the 'interviewer' talking to Armando in the bar afterwards and she asked him if he wanted the transcript, does anyone think they might post it up in the Writersroom?

Armando's being a right old media slag at the moment: One Show, Wright Stuff, Film 2009...wonder if this'll put any more bums on seats for In The Loop? I can't imagine he's the type to get off on such media whoring...

Probably not, but he does have a duty to try and sell the bitch out of his movie.

Absolutely! According to his Twitter page, he's on Richard Bacon's show on Five Live tonight.

Interesting, since Bacon has been likened to Alan Partridge:

And I remember Steve Coogan once being interviewed with him and having a go at him about this.

I find Richard Bacon quite funny. Well I did when he had a show on Xfm.

You misheard. She asked him if he wanted his ass whipped.

You've gotta love Five Live and its level headed listeners, though!

Perhaps, or perhaps she was trying to blackmail Armando with a recording of him singing 'Whip It'...
