Hey babe, I'm off to the gym, I'll be back around 6

JAYNE
(jealous)
I hate you! you're so skinny

DAVE
(jokingly)
Well, I hate you too

JAYNE
Because I'm fat?

DAVE
No, I just hate you

JAYNE
Uch, That's not so bad then

Dave hands Jayne a bunch of flowers and a small giftwrapped box

JAYNE
Awe Dave, they are beautiful (she smiles) and what's this?

DAVE
Well you know we were talking about getting married

Jayne opens the box, it's a ring. She gasps and a tear rolls down her cheek. She goes to cuddle Dave

DAVE
(jokingly)
Well it was either that or a box of chocolates darling

She slaps him

DAVE
What was that for?

JAYNE
You just called me fat!

DAVE
No I didn't

JAYNE
(a decisive whisper)
Yes......you did

Yes, I liked these two; especially the natural dialogue which helped me picture the characters. I don't know whether you intend them to run in the order posted but I'd like to see the 'box of chocolates' run first, followed by 'off to the gym'.

In fact, run like that, it could be the start of a sitcom. Just an idea!

I'm just getting a feel for small sketches at the moment and will see how it progresses. I do like these characters though and will do a few more short dialogues just to see if it would be worthwhile stretching it out.

And yes they would work better the other way about!
