British Comedy Guide

Hello, good evening, and welcome

Hi everyone, I'm Will. I recently discovered this web site whilst skiving from university work a few weeks ago. My PhD proposal had just been rejected and so I took some time out to get back in touch with the important things in life - that's comedy, music, and football for me. And breakfast cereal.

I learned as much from the Young Ones and Blackadder as a child as I did from school. My parents had them on tape and I watched them endlessly. Peep Show and Seinfeld entered my affections later on.

I'm back writing essays for my Masters now, but I did submit some lines to the "Talking and Not Talking" competition and I hope that my comedy writing won't stop there. I've written bits and bobs before but I intend to make a go of it this time. 25 - it's now or never.

This place strikes me as a good meeting of minds.

Hello Will. :)

Welcome. *tips cap*

Gotta love a man with a Dylan avatar ...

Danny won't like that avatar. It will remind him of his faux pas.

Alright Willy?

Got 4 things in common already. I'm Scottish, a forum newbie,25 and have also decided it's now or never with the comic writing.

Good luck with the comp, hope to be laughing at you soon :P (your writing that is)

Cheers
Craig

This guy's good

Hey! :)

Hello Will,

Nice to have a cerebral addition to this merry moronic clan. I hope the main lesson you learned from Blackadder was that smartarses always prosper, and beards can actually improve a guy's looks!

Seriously though, welcome.
