Do any other writers here use their Facebook profile's to promote/highlight their writing?
In my Info tab, I've got lots of (you guessed it!) info about what I do, links to my websites etc.
Or am I just a narcissistic (try saying that pissed) media whore?
Of course, I also use Facebook to have sex with new people. 
And to post drunk piccies like everybody else.
I guess Facebook is only for friends anyway and as such they'll know you are a narcissist and take no notice
oh yeah, it's just a friend-connectey, socialising thingy, but it doesn't do any harm putting some writing info on the profile.
And lol at Morrace. I don't go on Facebook much. I just check it for 10 mins at most every few days.

I thought mine had a weird growth.
Turns out it was just a photo of me.
I created my own facebook group for any sketch comp I'm in.
Whenever I email the members (about twice a month) I lose a few.
I am irritating my own friends!
Do you email them about those voting sites where your sketch wins if you have the most votes?
If so, I can see that being irritating. 
I keep Facebook for just my friends (and occasional hotties). I have a ShoePie Page but that's just so I can post my animation news there and not in my own profile, then my friends can opt-in if they want.
LinkedIn is the Businessey networking site, maybe there are producers and writers on there? I dunno.
I messaged two producers via Facebook years ago.
One told me to basically f**k off, the other didn't and agreed to read my work.
All I'm saying is, considering the amount of users Facebook has at the moment, it's there to be utilised.
Personally, I think the site is over-rated nonsense, but I used it to network with friends, so I use it to blab about what I do too.
I agree with you Mikey. I use it to send notifications as you know.
