Mikey J are you actually old enough to drive?
That's hopefully a compliment. lol
I do have a license, but it's really my older sister's who is 12.

Real speech is rarely any of those and is often tedious as opposed to gripping TV. A 10 minute conversation in real life can often be whittled down to its bare essence.
Exactly, SlagA. Thank you!

Pick up any good tutorial or reference book on character development. Does it mention character naming? Probably not. Criticising characters' names is nit-picking, splitting hairs. Neither Orson Scott Card's Character and Viewpoint, nor Holly Lisle's excellent 'Create a Character Clinic' does. If you read these, you'll think characters don't have to have names. Indeed, in some stories, they actually don't. Yet even in these, we feel we know the character, because the author has introduced him to us.
Regarding the comment, "One 'comedy' name is a maybe, but littering the show with such screams newbie." Well, I interpret the 'scream' as avant-garde or innivotive.
Again, lovely chatting with you, but I have to get back to the novel I'm working on; it's entitled "The Marination Of Gwendolyn's Cerbral Cortex In Aspic" The story is about a selfless college student, Gwendolyn, who is engaged to an eccentric Wizard. It takes place on a world that has all but forgotten its magical past - Earth. The changing role of women in cultures plays a major role in this novel.
My name's Jonny2 - Goodnight!

Are you sure?
Yeah, Jonny1 is his older brother. Much easier than thinking up different names for each birth.
