Then don't watch him, you'll all get by okay.

I've tried not watching him, but he's only a bit funnier that way.

I laugh a lot more at Tim Vine, Frankie Boyle and Jimmy Carr, but I like Stewart Lee just as much. Not entirely sure why. It really could be just as simple as the fact that he's a smart-arse, and he deconstructs comedy, and it makes me feel clever when I get it.

Sometimes, I think he pushes the whole "deliberately unfunny" bit a bit too far.

Like: he says something funny, then says it again, then says it again which makes it funny because he's said it three times, then he says it again which makes it even funnier, then says it again which is pushing it a bit too far, then says it again which starts to become annoying, then he says or does something to acknowledge the fact that he knows he's started to become annoying, then says the original thing again which makes it funny again, then says it again which makes it even funnier, then says it again which makes it stop being funny.

Any subsequent repetitions are no longer funny.

Like Homer being hit in the face with a rake, Stewart Lee used to know when to stop. I'm not sure he does any more.
