I developed a sitcom with them last year which is now on hold, and also worked on Scallywagga. (yes I know it's not the most popular show around here!) They've also asked me to develop several characters for the second series. Going up for a "creative table" meeting with the other writers later this month. Should be interesting...

That's the bit where you have to be really funny around other funny people I take it?

Good luck.

That sounds good, did you go through a specific city? I live in Hull you see and I see that they have a page for Hull on the BBC Comedy North site.

On a side note, Lee: I'm loving your 'Ordinary World' cover! How long did it take you to get that good?

We should get a band going http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyDlm-UVkzc

No specific city, I kind of got to know them through the BBC Funny Hunt comp a couple of years ago, which I was a finalist in. (As was the inestimable James Harris). We were all invited up to BBC Mancs for talks and drinkies etc, and I stayed in touch with the niceys.

F**k me you can thump those tubs! Seriously-good drummage dude. To answer your question I've been playing since I was a kid (I'm 37 now), but I don't play anywhere near as much as I used to these days so I'm rustier than the Tin Man's foreskin. I'm saving up for a piano that I can stick in the lounge so it's always there for me to play. I find at the moment that the thing that keeps me from practising is the whole arse ache of setting up the gear, synth etc. If there was a piano there you just sit and play.
