Jaded Sketch Page 2

Whatever the merits or otherwise of the sketch, kudos on spotting the Shilpa Shetty thing. I heard on the radio today that she's flying over. Maybe you should submit this to a news channel?

Hi there. My wife was telling me that if one examines Jade's career, one is faced with a choice: either accept Cliffordian absurdity or conclude that Big Brother is capable of significance. She added that reality television suggests that class, somewhat paradoxically, has intrinsic meaning, given that reality television is distinct from truth. My wife said It could be said that a number of reality programmes concerning the bridge between couch-potato society and the real world exist. Well, that's what my wife told me. She does go on a bit, though.

A lot of women are going to avoid or defeat cervical cancer because of Max Clifford's publicity and Jade Goody's tragedy.

Definitely significant.

That fact certainly more than makes up for any mild irritation she may have caused people such as myself and most (I'm guessing) of the people reading this thread over the years.

Your wife is obviously a tad more intelligent than mine.

The taste debate isn't of interest to me. I don't think there is a subject that can't be used for comedy.

Tell that to the BBC
