Why are there so few shows in a season for British TV? Here in the US there are about 28. I just got done watching Grace and Favour, that show was two seasons with six shows each season. I like your shows so much I wish there were more of them!

Well firstly we call them a series, because they don't last for even one (calendar) season, let alone two!
There's a thread about this around somewhere... Basically it was for many reasons. Um. Yeah, helpful.

Not many shows are worthy of that many episodes. Some exceptions (such as The Office and Seinfeld) are well-written and deserve to run for several years. We all come out winners when that happens.
