Mustard Magazine

Just wanted to mention that I have an article in this wonderful magazine. It's the "Love Letter" piece. Of course, I was already an admirer of Mustard before, but now I'm a really big fan :D

While we're plugging our stuff - can I just mention that I've got four illustrations in this new issue (the 'vs' film posters, the queen cover spoof and the time travel book cover). Not comedy writing, but go have a look all the same!

Congrats, I've never read the magazine, I will buy the PDF later as I've heard good things.

Is it issue #04? http://www.mustardweb.org/getmustard/index.htm

Edit: Just realised there's a Borders 10 minutes from my house, time for some exercise :)

It has some good interviews in there; issue one with Graham Linehan in is worth checking out.

Thanks! That's exactly the one. It's issue #4. Issue #3 is great, too. Big interview with Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong.

I'll be looking forward to seeing those illustrations :)

It's a cool magazine. I got a couple of illustrations in the first issue, so that makes it double-cool in my book...

Certainly as of yesterday, there were a load of copies of the third issue of this in Forbidden Planet, Shaftesbury Ave, if your interest has been piqued.

I'm not usually one for rabble-rousing, but the editor Alex says this current issue will be the last for the time being due to the credit crunch putting advertisers off.

Anyone reading this who likes comedy and values homegrown talent should really hunt down a copy. If the sales go up then it might just coax the advertisers back.

And there I was about to say how refreshing it was to see a niche magazine like this not fold within its first few issues.

Time to buy up their back catalogue in a futile bid for preservation.

The BSG should take it over. :)

Wooo, you go girl-free-end!!!

I think it's really sad, the way niche magazines, and shops, are always having to stop/close. Music mags, and shops, seem to have been hit the worst. Back in the '90s, I used to spend half my life, travelling to obscure little shops, and reading underground magazines. I used to feel like I was part of a really special little scene, and now it's all gone.

I'd buy it if it reached the Liverpool Borders, for what it's worth. It looks really good.
