I don't know - I quite like Gordon Kennedy as the man in the pub attacking the Australians.

Henning Wehn - a comedian who impresses me more and more - was excellent on The Now Show. His demolition of England's ridiculous self-delusion over our football team was excellent.
David Mitchell has just said on the Jonathan Ross show that there are no immediate plans to do any more That Mitchell and Webb Sound.

Perhaps, but then again each series comes about every two years. The first series was in 2003, the second in 2005, the third in 2007 and the fourth in 2009. So going by that, if there is going to a fifth series, it will probably occur next year.
I enjoyed this week's Never Write Off the Germans - mainly because I was mentioned on it.
Indeed I am Giggle-o, indeed I am.
Just listened to the third Fags, Mags thing. It's really nothing special. It trundles along nicely enough, but nothing sticks in the mind about it. And tonights episode had jokes about Delboy falling through the bar in Only Fools and Horses. >_<
Quote: chipolata @ July 1 2010, 7:09 PM BSTQuite enjoyed The Secret World tonight. I remember being quite cool towards the last series, but it hit the spot tonight. Not everything works, but it has a pretty good hit rate. And it genuinely comes at celebrity impressions from a fresh angle - not easy in this day and age. Particularly enjoyed the conspiracy theory obsessed Al Pacino.
Quote: Mark @ July 2 2010, 10:46 PM BSTYeah, I love The Secret World - a very fresh programme in the otherwise currently quite stale arena of impressionism.
Just caught up with The Secret World for the first time, and couldn't agree with you guys more.
Particularly enjoyed their readiness to just play out the humour of the situation without looking for the gag all the time. Gags are the fast food of comedy. This was a slo-cook casserole.

What was the joke/item you got a mention for?
Quote: Steve Sunshine @ July 14 2010, 11:17 AM BSTWhat was the joke/item you got a mention for?
It was a news item that I spotted. It was an inappropriate headline for a certain newspaper regarding the Dutch making the World Cup final. It was The Irish Times - "Orangemen March into Final".
Ian, is it true you got your name because you're a 'wolf' around the ladies?

No - it's because I like wolves (the animal, not the football team).
Ian -- you are either deadpan comedy genius or have no sense of irony.
Dan

Im pretty sure that the irish times was quite aware of the "comedy" value of that headline. And was nodding to their readership well ahead of your intervention.
