I thought Pick Ups last night was slow but enjoyable.

For the first time last night I really enjoyed Count Arthur Strong.
Its silliness has finally grabbed my balls.

I'm still torn on Count Arthur Strong. I listen and enjoy it, I'm just bowled over by the massive love it seems to get from some quarters.
I quite enjoyed the new Dave Podmore episode, taking the piss out of Strictly Come Dancing.

Yes, it was extremely good. Who is Christopher Douglas?
Against all the odds I'm still enjoying Rudy's Rare Records. It's predictable as hell, with groan inducing gags and a main star I don't really like, yet I find it curiously engaging.
Heard a bit of the Podmore show but couldn't really get into it.
And what was that awful show on Tuesday at 6:30? Some not particularly funny people talking about songs they like! A dreadful waste of the 6:30 slot.
Hut33,some people here might like it. I'm not entirely against it, but I find it too 'cute' with its knowing references to contemporary technology.

The Count is very much an acquired taste. I've acquired it.

Do you know if it's a new series or not? I quite like it.
It is a new series.

No Dan, you are right it is a new series.
As for the show on Tuesday at 6.30pm (I persume it is Radio 4), that was "The Music Group" with Dr. Phil Hammond. I don't believe the show is a comedy.

It definitely wasn't a comedy. But it was in the comedy slot.

Yes, that was strange wasn't it. I don't know why the did that.

Isn't it a "light entertainment" slot, rather than specifically a comedy one?

Maybe. Although I'm not sure that a programme with Anna Raeburn in counts as "light entertainment".
I thought Too Much Information was running in the Tuesday slot? Unless that only had about two episodes?

It's returning next week.
