Just wanted to add my voice to those saying Party is excellent - one of the funniest sitcoms I've heard on the radio for a long time!
(Do you want to go back to the 'Current Radio' thread everyone? I think the experiment of trying to get people using individual threads for the radio shows has pretty much failed!)
I don't mind going back to current radio.

An enjoyable Unbelievable Truth last night. And I must admit to being rather fond of the German comic Henning Wehn. He always seems to make me laugh, although I'm not sure if it's by accident or design.
The restored classics are worth listening to on BBC7, if only because you've probably not heard them broadcast before. An episode of Steptoe and Son was on this week, for the first time in about 45 years.

I find that, too. His style is pretty original.
A good last episode of Party last night. A definite highlight of the year so far, not least because it felt a bit different. Most of the radio sitcoms I enjoy tend to be at the silly end of the spectrum (Bleak Expectations, Milton Jones, etc), but this was a little more rooted in reality. And I was mightly impressed that each episode was essentially a one-act play. Hope it gets recomissioned.

Yeah, I'll echo that exactly. A real highlight. I've only just realised each episode was just one act - all the more impressive.
I lasted about 30 seconds of Nick Mohammed's "Quarters" last night, sorry Nick but I just couldn't stomach any more of it.
I listened to that first time around. It didn't do much for me. There was one *really* good sketch (something to do with aeroplanes or air-traffic control or something I vaguely recall). The last episode, the 15-minute all one character up in Edinburgh was dire.
