I couldn't find a general Chris Morris thread, so I've made one.
I just saw this clip for the first time:

Very funny.

I never knew he was a general. what regiment?
The same one that you were in during World War 2.
A true titan of British comedy who is now a spent force.
However, amidst all the Morris worshipping a name oft-forgotten is that of Mr. Armando Iannucci.
Both Chris Morris and Armando Iannucci worked on Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle, which starts on BBC2 in a couple of weeks. Iannucci was producer and Morris was script supervisor.
Can't wait for it, about time Stewart Lee was back on TV!
I've never forgiven him for ruining the first season of 24 for me.
I am jolly excited too!

I don't even remember him being in it.

>_<
He blurted out the ending whilst on The 11 O'Clock Show I think.
Who did, Stewart Lee?
Or Chris Morris...

What a bastard
I would have done the same - if I'd known the ending and given a toss.

In what way is he a spent force? Because he hasn't done much lately, though of course he has been working on getting a film made, or because you didn't like Nathan Barley? (Assuming you didn't like it and that's one of the reasons you think he's a spent force; I thought Barley was brilliant.)
I think you're jumping the gun a bit.
For me he has yet to put a foot wrong, though I do wish he'd hurry up and get something new out. But then he's done enough over the years to take exactly as long as he likes.
Barley was shit, you sycophant.
I didn't realise Morris was involved with Stewart Lee's new show. Should be interesting.

Barley was FANTASTIC. I loved it.
