Thanks, Hennell, very useful. I was expecting to hear the lines delivered naturalistically, ala Fry and Laurie, but this seems quite theatrical, which'll have to be reflected in the writing.

In terms of submitting our stuff, should we put them all in early, or stagger them over the course of the next four or five weeks?
Monday the 9th is the only deadline mentioned. I'm going for sending some in this week and hoping they ask for more.
Perhaps they are waiting to see if they get an entire series worth of vox pops sent in this week.
heh - no problem everyone - had dug the mp3s up to listen myself, and figured I may as well share. Always nice to know what your aiming for!
On submitting I'd have said early is better as that way you have less to compete with, more recordings to be tried in and greater chance they haven't already got something like it.
Just got a reply from this today saying that they didn't think my stuff was right for the show. However, having now listened to Hennell's mp3 (Thank you sir) I realise where I was going wrong (Damn vague brief), so, do you think they would read some more of my stuff if I sent more in?
The deadline isn't until the 9th but I'm just wondering if it's a 'you only get one shot' kind of deal.

Yeah, just like Chris, mine weren't what they were looking for.
But also, because of the vague brief, I can see why.
(although, I thought I had a few corkers there. Some funnier than on than mp3. Ah well.)
Never mind. They'll be added to my ever-expanding portfolio on my hard drive and used for something else in the future.

I submitted another set the other day, (obviously before their reply) so that's still in with a chance.
I might submit some more if I get time.

I sent some stuff in yesterday. I did listen to the shows originally when they were on so hopefully I've got the vibe right. They did similar stuff on Laura, Ben & Him on ITV2 too.
