Quote: beaky @ 27th June 2017, 5:42 PMYou think Blackadder's the worst sitcom ever?
Well in my own opinion, I think it's the worst sitcom made. I really don't like it. I've watched all 4 of them and don't really see what's so good about it.

I'd say most overrated rather than worst. And most overquoted - boy, did I hate that.
Quote: David Smith @ 15th April 2013, 7:01 PMThe Thin Blue Line was amazing!
Young Ones has always been my favourite. Happy families is sadly hard to find now.
Quote: Spencer Kelly @ 27th June 2017, 5:38 PM1. Blackadder
2. The Office
3. Fawlty Towers
4. The Peep Show
5. Dad's Army
6. Allo Allo
7. Waiting for God
8. My Family
9. I'm Alan Partridge
10. Absolutely Fabulous
Apart from a couple that would probably be my favourite 10 sitcoms.
Yeah... Devil's Advocate, anyone? Even if you dislike 'em, you can't argue they're the worst.
I f**king hate OFAH.

Who in their right mind would wilfully sit through 24 episodes of a sitcom they consider the worst ever ? Oh I get it now, kinky.

Fascinating to compare your bests and worsts, Spencer. I understand a number of those, but Dad's Army, Fawlty Towers and 'Allo 'Allo!?!
That just shows how subjective comedy is.
In the style of Spencer Kelly, here are my list of worst sitcoms:
1. Hancock's Half Hour
2. Steptoe and Son
3. Dad's Army (but has since been improved by the recent film)
4. Fawlty Towers
5. Blackadder
6. Red Dwarf
7. Only Fools & Horses
8. The Good Life
9. Toast of London
10. On The Buses
Nothing personal, I assure you.
Devil's advocate, surely... I hate Blackadder but even I can't argue it's technically 'bad' at all, let alone one of the worst ever. Worst bands, Beatles and Rolling Stones next?
I think Blackadder was good but that was the peak of Rowan's sitcom work. But the Thin Blue Line was absolute crap.
Mr Bean has been a tiresome character that I can watch for 5 minutes before I have to stop watching for the sake of my own mental wellbeing. Blackadder was made for Rowan but there isn't much of substance that I can think of since then.
I can see how Spencer Kelly can say he watched all four series but still doesn't like it because Blackadder was that kind of person who you don't like and might even hate but you have to see what he's up to. He wasn't anyone's friend and would happily take your coinpurse if he could get away with it.

The man's a fool - nothing personal.
Seriously I doubt that Big Top, Love Thy Neighbour or Heil Honey I'm Home would be in top 10, you want sitcoms which are less well written than this.
