I've often heard it claimed that Sgt Bilko was the best sitcom of all time in the entire universe and beyond. When I was a schoolboy I remember my parents laughing their tits off when he was on the box but my brother and I couldn't get why they were laughing - the humour was far too smart for us.
The scripts of Seinfeld are brilliant to read. Each one is a like a masterclass in how to write sitcoms and the shows are pretty good too especially when Kramer's around.
Lavern and Shirley
Gilligan's Island
Married With Children
Happy Days
Taxi
Bewitched
The Beverly Hillbillies
3rd Rock from the Sun
8 Simple Rules
The Cosby show
T.J Hooker ( I know its not a sitcom but it did make me laugh)
I like my oldies.
Can't see I ever replied to this, and I like a list me.
So in no particular order, and taking each show at its peak:
The Phil Silvers Show (Bilko)
Cheers
Taxi
Becker
The Simpsons
South Park
Futurama
Malcolm In The Middle
My Name Is Earl
Barney Miller
