British Comedy Guide

What comedy impressions can you do?

I just realised that I don't think I've ever started a thread outside of the Critique section. So I thought I'd better give it a shot. And seeing as recording voices is a big part of what I do I thought it'd be good to find out everyone's repertoire!! I can do:

Scooby Doo:
Although I can only say Wraggy!!! and then laugh!

Mr.T:
Everyone can do a Mr. T. but I feel I really capture the truth of how much he pities those fools.

The Bug Alien from Men in Black:
This is a cool voice. I actually prefer using this voice to my own.

Hank Hill:
Although this one is limited, I can only say "whot" and "uh bobby".

i can do the woman in the lynx advert and shaggy the singer, ali g, borat, david beckham and i am a dead ringer for jose moriniho, mr. t really did pity those fools didn't he?

I can do quite a good John Barnes

Good. I could do a Ruby Murray.

When i went on holiday with my family and my parents put me in one of those clubs like the one on fools and horses "groovy" i got up on stage and sung ring of fire and san quentin by johnny cash, i can still do him well now.

Singing Bowie is hilarious, can do any voice off Bo Selecta, speaking in a South African accent is just funny whatever you say. Can do most people but can't for some reason do Scottish or Dutch

I'm not sure I've really ever tried to do a specific person, but I can do a whole range of accents in general. The Carribbean/Jamaican one amuses me particularly. And I've been told my French accent is very good too.

Say 'Beer Can' and you'll sound like a Jamaican saying 'Bacon' (Shooting Stars)

I aint got time for your jibber jabber god invented fools just so I can pity them..........

ps: I do a good Rusty Lee as well

I do accents their quite easy, I used to flirt with girl pretneding I was Irish coz she loved them so much but there is only so much guiness the body can take before need some lager to balance it... Oh I can do a mean Borat

I used to use 'The chicken is in the bedroom' in several langauges as a desperate chat-up line. It worked a couple of times as 'Il pollo et nella camera de letto' in my best Italian accent and 'Le poulet et dans le chambre' in my best French accent even turns me on.

However trying the Spanish version (something along the lines of 'Elle polly esta en el dormitorio') proved to be my final attempt when chatting up some girl with a Spanish father - she just didn't see the funny side.

Apologies for some very bad grammar and spelling above with regards to the foreign languages.

Looking back - and I WAS very young - this really was a very sad time in my life!

As for actual impersonations, I do a great Shir Shean Connery - but what Scotsman cant!. My Snagglepuss is pretty spot on too.

Andy W

(exit, stage right..stage left eeeeven).

I can do quite a good John Barnes

"Lucazade Isotonic sport gets to your thirst... fast"

I can only do that squeaky voiced thing from Police Academy. Oh! And only when i am topped up with 2 x bottles of Pinot.

Ooh, I really liked that bloke who could do gun noises. I'm anyone's for a gun noise...

I can do Cartman.

Apparently that's what Al Murray's early act consisted of. Gun noises.
