BREAKING NEWS:

There would have to be a'Strictly come...' line in that wouldn't there.

Yes agree with the quick turn around being key here. Topical by its nature indicates very short shelf life.

Not neccessarily. You can often take topical gags from yesterday and just insert new names.

Any advice on formatting anyone? Or doesn't it matter too much - as long as it's clear and looks like a script?

For something like this, I doubt it matters too much. Have a look at the Writers Room on the BBC websites and they'll give you some basic pointers about what a radio sketch script should look like.

The important thing is to not mess about too much with the formatting. If they use your sketch, they want it to be easy to cut and paste into the house format for the script.

You just get the BBC Writersroom Automated reply once you've sent it right?

Just want to make sure I've sent it to the right email address.

That's all I've had so far.

That's all I've had so far.

Suckers. I've had TWO automated replies.

Looks like they'll just pick up all the emails with "7 on 7" in the subject field, but didn't stop/change the standard auto-reply email.

Good luck all.

I don't suppose anyone will hear anything until "The Email" arrives with "You got chosen/You must be joking right - Delete As Appropriate."

I got the two automated emails and just an hour ago got an email saying "Thanks Ben, we'll be in touch".

I also got the little personal email as well.

Yea, I got the "personal" email.

My personal message had a little 'x' at the end. They also referred to me as 'Babes.'

Mine said 'I'm going to kill you, Filip, who lives in Oxford, and is watching pornography at this exact moment.'

I assume that is the automated one?

The email I received said: "You're joking, right?"

So I replied saying: "Yes, that's right."

They replied with: "We were being ironic, you turd."

Is it commonplace for the Beeb to be so direct?

I got "Not funny. Stop. No more. Leave us alone."

Haven't even sent them yet.
