And suddenly exactly why she's awake all night becomes clear...

Lol. The means streets of Chelsea.

Good film - both versions. And the Stephen King book isn't bad either, although the end's a bit daft.

My doctor advised for me to exercise before bed and not to drink caffeine. Great advice. :S

Yes, it is.

Taking the TV out of the bedroom helped a lot

*biggest gasp ever*

Sleep in the total dark and don't go to bed till you're tired.

For me, a cup of hot chocolate, warm bath, relaxation exercises or soothing music can be helpful. I think a bit of fresh air in the bedroom is good too as a stuffy atmosphere can keep you awake.

Morphine sends me to sleep pretty quickly but I don't wake up feeling refreshed so I don't recommend it!

If I don't feel as if I am going to get to sleep no matter what I try, I sometimes get up and write or catch up with paperwork/emails etc.

So far this week I have had one night when I didn't sleep at all and another when I slept for about two hours. That's about average for me.

Sex. Whether with yourself or another. Time to get that sex toy out you thought you'd never need again Dolly. Rabbits away! Pleased

12.46 and I'm not in my bed
Too many things buzzing round in my head
Have tried drinking cocoa and tried counting sheep
But neither have worked so I can't get to sleep

:(

Shall I hit you on top off the head with a large comedy mallet?

Insomnia? It's just something you have to deal with.
No point losing sleep over it.

Sleep comes naturally. If you're not ready for sleep, you won't sleep.

Try not going to bed at all one night. You'll probably feel knackered the following day but I bet you'll sleep that night. Repeat as necessary until healthy sleep pattern restored.

BTW, narcolepsy is far worse to deal with than insomn..Zzzzzzzz...

If I am still awake in the early hours then yes please, as long as Timmy isn't still attached to it. Actually, that might be a good idea - he could bore me to sleep.

Thanks for all the tips (even the rude ones) :)

I've actaully had two good nights now, by going to bed ealier. Weird but it's worked.

I like Loopey's idea of the morphine. Only downside is that you have to be in quite a lot of pain to get any. :)

Glad you are getting some sleep. I have plenty of morphine to spare. Just tell me if you would like some and I will email it to you, though my recent attempt at emailing hot chocolate and cream cakes to a friend ended in disaster.
