An old joke - Animated Page 2

I remember trying Blender but felt overwhelmed by it. That was a few years ago though, I think I'll have another look at it.

It's infamous for having a quirky user interface. Version 2.5 is out in a few months and they're having a massive overhaul of the UI. Plus the documentations come a long way in the past few years.

Can I ask what software you used for the animation?

I saw a thread a while ago where a few applications were mentioned, but the type of animation you've created is just what I would like to have a go at myself.

Hi Smithy,

I used Anime Studio Pro. its an excellent program at not a bad price. Check out the free trial before you buy. http://my.smithmicro.com/win/animepro/index.html

In this animation for speed purposes I hand drew all the character's faces on a lightbox from Argos, then scanned them in using a Graphics program called Gimp. Gimp has a "Trace to Bitmap" feature which can convert hand drawn sketches into something that looks a lot smoother and clean. So Gimp aswell.

Awesome :)

Doh!! Sorry I'm a dumbass. The "Trace to Bitmap" feature I believe is in a program called Inkscape. Still a free program though.

Ah, Ok. Gimp is still a good program though.
